02/05/2016 – Tommy Thompson Cup Final Abandoned due to player injury

This mornings Tommy Thompson Cup Final was abandoned after 89 minutes due to a serious injury to a Little Oakley FC player.

With the score at 0-0 and whilst awaiting the ambulance a decision was made to replay the fixture on Saturday 21st May 2016, again using the facilties provided by Lawford Lads FC, Kick-Off will be 13:30pm.

A more detailed match report will follow in due course but in the meantime the ESBFL and I’m sure everyone who watched the game, extend their best wishes to the unfortunate player, Richard Green, for a speedy recovery.
