21/05/2016 – Little Oakley FC Reserves lift Tommy Thompson Cup

Little Oakley FC Reserves lifted the Tommy Thompson Cup after defeating fellow Division One team West Berghotl FC Reserves by 4 goals to 1 in a game played at the War Memorial Ground, Little Oakley.

The teams entered half-time with a goal apiece with West Berholt FC Reserves taking an early lead through Darren Revie with Eliot Johnson equalising just before the break.

Little Oakley FC Reserves took the lead straight after half-time through Sean Mathurin although it seems defender Sones got the last touch. Eliot Johnson headed Little Oakley FC Reserves further into the lead before Jacob Kioussis stroked home a late penalty.

This game was treated as a “Charity” game with all gate money going towards a fund for Richard Green, the Little Oakley FC Reserves defender who recived a bad injury in the original abandoned match.
