ESBFL – WEEKLY ROUND-UP for 25/05/2024.

This was the last Saturday of a very long season, just a handful of matches in Division Four and the COVID Cup Final. All league tables have now been updated with the changes for postponed /awarded matches, but every Champion and Runners-Up positions have been decided and every Cup Final played to a conclusion.

In the final cup match, the COVID Cup, Dedham Old Boys FC Reserves scored two late goals to beat fellow Division Two rivals, Great Bentley FC Reserves, who had taken a first half lead, at Coggeshall Town FC.

Division Four was finally completed, Champions, The Rodings Reserves beat Boxford Rovers, (fifth) by a single “own” goal to finish sixteen points ahead of Runners-Up, Great Bradfords who drew their last match against Roman Rovers Reserves (fourth). FC Clacton “A” finished with a victory against Ramsey & Mistley the team just above them at the bottom, finally, Tendring District won their last match away at Silver End United Reserves, however, their respective league positions remain unchanged.
