28/11/2023 – ESBFL Representative Team Result (1 – 1)

Last evening, the new look ESBL Representative Team, under the Management of Danny Laws, (AFC Sudbury), Coach, Stef Robson and Physio, Tim Jackson played a friendly match against a team from Long Melford FC at The MEL Stadium, Sudbury.

The evening was freezing cold and the 3G pitch became frosty as the game progressed but both squads of players gave a good account of themselves and played out a one-all draw, so honour’s even.

For the ESBFL, those players who were selected and who before kick-off hardly knew each other, other than, maybe, in opposition in League matches should take credit for their performances.

Danny Laws would like to thanks all those players, and helpers, and especially the Clubs who helped provide those players, some at very short notice, also, it was good to see a good number of Team Managers present to watch their players.

The long awaited “FA Inter-League”, Round 2, Cup fixture against the Essex Olympian Football League has to be played on or before Saturday 20th January 2024, more details about the date and venue will be advised once known.
