CLUB SAFEGUARDING COMMITMENT – FA DIRECTIVE!

URGENT: Club Safeguarding Commitment

THIS DIRECTIVE ONLY APPLIES TO CLUBS WHO OPERATE A “YOUTH TEAM/S”

On Tuesday 6th December, Greg Clarke, FA Chairman wrote to the secretaries of all grassroots affiliated Clubs with youth teams requesting that they log on to the Whole Game System in order to complete the Safeguarding Commitment on behalf of their Club Committee (you can see the details of that commitment statement below). With all non-compliant clubs facing a suspension from football, we would appreciate your support in ensuring all clubs as a matter of urgency complete the Safeguarding Commitment. Ideally this would take the form of a league email to all member clubs underlining the need to complete the Safeguarding Commitment or risk suspension which would in turn lead to suspension of their fixtures and the consequent penalties for failing to fulfil a fixture. Please note that the deadline for completion is Sunday 18th December after which suspensions may be enforced.

FA Club Safeguarding Commitment
Charter Standard Clubs

I. XX FC Management Committee confirm our records on the Whole Game System accurately reflect all our team officials (coaches, managers, welfare officers and first aiders) working with children and young people* at our club.

II. We commit to ensuring that all our team officials working with youth teams* have an in date accepted FA CRC

III. We commit to ensuring that all youth teams* have at least one FA qualified coach with in-date FA Safeguarding and Emergency Aid certificates and an in date accepted FA CRC

IV. We commit to ensuring that all our team officials and committee members complete The FAs safeguarding training

Non-Charter Standard Clubs

I. On behalf of XX FC Management Committee we confirm our records on the Whole Game System accurately reflect all our team officials (coaches, managers, welfare officers and first aiders) working with children and young people* at our club.

II. We commit to ensuring that all our team officials working with youth teams* have an in date accepted FA CRC

III. We commit to ensuring that all our team officials and committee members complete The FAs safeguarding training
