COVID-19 – ESBFL Update (V2)

I said that we would regularly update the ESBFL information and rules flexibility about COVID 19 as new information is passed to the league.

An update for leagues was received yesterday and therefore the 2 documents have been updated and changes highlighted.

The main changed is the FA’s recommendation that leagues do not collect the risk assessment and plans from clubs, but that clubs sign a declaration that they do have one.

The league have adopted this. So you should not that you no longer are required to send the documentation to the league, although of course you are still required to have it.

The new document also talks a bit more about the responsibilities of the COVID-19 officer.

The third change is in relation to technical areas – emphasising the need to socially distance which may meant that technical areas/dug outs need to be larger.
