ESBFL Representative Team achieve 4 -1 victory over Coggeshall United FC in friendly.

Last night saw the first of two friendly matches played by the ESBFL Representative Team. With Capel Plough FC unable to field a team, Coggeshall United FC accepted the challenge as the ESBFL team, managed once again by Tony Armstrong drew players from numerous clubs for this match played under floodlights at Harwich & Parkeston FC.

Coggeshall United FC took the lead after just two minutes but Durling popped up for a header to equalise almost straight away. Aran Yarwood headed home an Ifield corner and Harry Hewes scored a left foot cracker on 31 minutes and Ifield made it four on the stroke of half-time.

There was no further scoring in the second half in what was a competitive and entertaining match well controlled by the match officials, Carl Pearce., Richard Oakes and Rhys Collins.

Perhaps more importantly, the ESBFL Representative Team will be playing the Southern Combination League in the FA Inter-League Cup on Saturday 28th September 2019, the venue is: Harwich & Parkeston FC and kick-off is 15:00pm. Entrance will be £5.00. Your support will be welcome.
