ESBFL Representative Team lose by 3 – 2 against Bowers & Pitsea FC, U23’s in friendly.
This week saw the second of two friendly matches played by the ESBFL Representative Team. This time it was Bowers & Pitsea FC Under 23’s who made up the opposition as the ESBFL team, managed once again by Tony Armstrong drew players from numerous clubs for this match played under floodlights at Harwich & Parkeston FC.
Unfortunately, the plans of the Management, due to numerous “call-off’s, saw the team somewhat depleted, and the youth of the opposition triumphed on the night.
Bowers & Pitsea FC took the lead but Rotaru equalised minutes later and the scores were level at half-time.
A penalty was conceded and scored as the visitors took the lead, a lead they increased following a break-away after some good attacking play by the ESBFL who pulled a goal back through Durling right on the final whistle.
The match officials were, Carl Pearce., Richard Oakes and Richard Baker.
