ESBFL – Representative Team – Managerial Appointment – Danny Laws

The ESBFL is pleased to be able to advise that the Inter-League cup for leagues at Step 7 starts soon after Christmas.

Our representative team manager will be Danny Laws, who most of you know well.

We hope to be having a practice match before Christmas with the date of our first official match to be announced soon afterwards (it has to be played by 21 January).

We do have Committee people who regularly attend league games who may be able to make suggestions but we also rely on you as our key teams to make nominations for the representative side.

Rule 20 K says:
To assist the Team Manager in the selection of a League Representative XI, each Member Club shall, within seven days of a request from the League Representative Team Manager, nominate at least three of their own Club players stating their best playing positions for consideration. Clubs failing to comply with this part of the Rule shall be fined in accordance with the Fines Tariff.

The FA have this week released details of the FA Inter League Cup for Season 2023 / 2024, a total of just 17 league competitions at Step 7 had affiliated, much reduced on previous competition’s.

There is one First Round match, to eliminate the odd team, but in the Second Round the “ESBFL” in a regionalised draw, will be away to the Essex Olympian Football League, the tie must be played on or before Saturday 20th January 2024.
