FA League Accreditation Forums – FA Charter Standard Leagues & Non accredited Leagues
- Dear League,
- Firstly I would like to thank you and your committees for all the time and dedication you have given to your member clubs through these very difficult and challenging times. I have outlined below and also attached some key update information from The FA regarding the FA Charter Standard accreditation for leagues and clubs. The FA are hosting free webinars for existing FA Charter Standard accredited leagues and non-accredited leagues.
- Thursday 12th November – 7-8pm for existing FA Charter Standard accredited leagues.
- Tuesday 17th November – 7-8pm for leagues who want our support to become FA Charter Standard accredited. Book your place using this link: https://tinyurl.com/y3mvjc6bThe agenda will cover:
- The future of league accreditation
- How we got here, how you can be part of it and how you can shape the future
- Equipping, empowering and enabling you to be the best league you can be.
- How we can all play our part to create the best football environment.
- FA Charter Standard
- As you may be aware The FA have now reopened the window for clubs and leagues to apply to become Charter Standard. Whilst we appreciate this is a very busy time for everybody supporting grassroots football in different circumstances we are aware there are leagues within Essex who have an ambition to gain the Charter Standard Accreditation.
- The FA have released some Interim Charter Standard Criteria (attached) for the 20/21 season.
- In addition to the above it has also been announced that there are Charter Standard Equipment Packs for newly awarded clubs which is detailed in the table below
- Charter Standard Type / Charter Standard Status / Equipment Pack (to the value of)
- Community Club / New & Existing / £180
- Development Club / New & Existing £120
- Youth Club / New / £90
- Leagues New & Existing / £90
- If you are interested in becoming a Charter Standard League in line with The FA’s Built to Last campaign you are required to meet a threshold of 60% coverage of Charter Standard teams within your league membership. We are able to share your current percentage with you on request. The football development team are on hand to support both leagues and clubs through the Charter Standard application process and would welcome the opportunity to host a short webinar to your league membership.
- Unfortunately due to the well documented funding cuts at The FA I can confirm the IT Grant that has previously been available to leagues using Full Time and the Whole Game System has been suspended as of 1st June 2020.
- I hope that you will be able to join one of the above forums next week and look forward to supporting you throughout the coming months.
- With best wishes and take care,
