Here is a reminder of the current funding opportunity available to adult clubs from the football foundation at present. Please circulate to the clubs within your leagues regarding the following information on Retain the Game 2018.
The application window opens on 18th April 2018 and is due to close on Monday 30th May 2018.
– The eligibility criteria focuses on;
- Clubs that operate with two or more male teams (current u/17-u/21, Open Age and Vets) that;
- Hold the FA’s Adult Charter Standard Award
- Operate in a Charter Standard Development or Charter Standard Community Club OR
- Adult Clubs with two or more adult male teams that commit to becoming FA Adult Charter Standard within season 2018/19
FA research has demonstrated that Adult Charter Standard Clubs and Leagues are more sustainable and intervention is warranted as participation in adult male equates to 25% of all affiliated teams nationwide. Therefore, Retain the Game offers a total of £1m nationally to successful applicants and launches this April to support, sustain and retain participation amongst adult male football.
