There were two midweek matches last week, Thorpe Athletic beat Sudbury Sports to move into second place whilst Cressing United moved up to fourth with a win against Kings Park Rangers.

Saturdays matches saw mainly both winners and losers, there was only one drawn match, eight teams failed to score, highest score by one team was eight, highest aggregate score was ten, and three matches had nine goals in a day that saw one hundred & fifty-five goals scored.

In the Premier there were victories for Alresford Colne Rangers, Brightlingsea Town, Cressing United, Earls Colne, Hatfield Peverel, Kings Park Rangers and Thorpe Athletic, these results leave Brightlingsea Town, at the top with Kings Park Rangers and Thorpe Athletic tied in second place on goal difference.

There were five matches in Division One, Dovercourt Rovers, Gas Recreation, who remain unbeaten, Gosfield United, Lawford Lads and Tiptree Jobserve, all won, the first four of those teams top the table in that order.

Another unbeaten team, Prettygate top Division Two, from Earls Colne Reserves, The Rodings (three for Johnson {R}) are also yet to lose, and then Tavern, all of whom won in another tight division, Gas Recreation Reserves also won but the only draw was between White Notley Reserves and Roman Rovers.

Division Three had seven matches, Barnston Reserves, Great Bentley “A”, Hatfield Peverel Reserves, Silver End United, Tendring District, Tiptree Heath Reserves and West Bergholt all won. Four points separate the top three teams, Hatfield Peverel Reserves have twenty-four, Barnston Reserves have twenty-two points and Great Bentley “A” have twenty points.

Seven matches were played in Division Four, the winners on the day were, Boxted Lodgers Reserves, Harwich & Parkeston “A”, Kelvedon Social, Mersea Island (three for Higgins), Roman Rovers “A” (four for Igboji), Silver End United Reserves (three for Sopowski), and Tendring Borough. Harwich & Parkeston “A” and Silver End United Reserves remain unbeaten at the top, newcomers Tendring Borough now sit third moving above Hedinghams United Reserves whom they beat.

In a cup match, Cornard United Reserves were comprehensively beaten by Lowestoft Town Reserves in the Suffolk FA Senior Reserve Cup, Division Two survival, must be their priority now!
