ESSEX & SUFFOLK BORDER FOOTBALL LEAGUE            2024 / 2025

WEEKLY ROUND UP       @       17/08/2024.

Week Two of the ESBFL saw a number of midweek matches, Tuesday evening saw Kings Park Rangers defeat Earls Colne and Alresford Colne Rangers beat Stanway Pegasus Reserves, Wednesday saw wins for Barnston, Cressing and Hatfield Peverel, sadly Adam Shaikly of Belle Vue Social suffered a double leg fracture in their abandoned match against Thorpe Athletic, we wish him a speedy recovery.

On Saturday, twenty-three matches were played with one hundred and five goals scored.

Cressing, Barnston and Alresford Colne Rangers all won to head the Premier Division with nine points each from three games, only goal difference separating them, other wins were gained by Brightlingsea Town, Earls Colne and Kings Park Rangers with Dedham Old Boys drawing with Sudbury Sports.

In Division One, the only match between Gosfield United and Little Oakley Reserves ended all square at two goals apiece.

Division Two had three matches, new team Earls Colne Reserves won as did Roman Rovers whilst Tavern and Dedham Old Boys Reserves drew.

Six matches were played in Division Three, victories for Barnston Reserves, Great Bentley “A” (three for Byford), Ramsey & Mistley (three for Morrison), Tendring District and Tiptree Jobserve Reserves with West Bergholt held by Tiptree Heath Reserves.

Finally, Division Four, five matches were played, Harwich & Parkeston “A” (three for Smith {C}), Hedinghams United Reserves, Mersea Island and Silver End United Reserves all gained three points whilst Kevin Coyle scored all five of the goals for Tendring District, who conceded the same number against Boxted Lodgers Reserves.
