WEEKLY ROUND UP       @       24/08/2024.

The mid-week matches saw victories for Earls Colne, Hatfield Peverel, Kings Park Rangers, Thorpe Athletic, draws for Barnston against Stanway Pegasus Reserves and Dedham Old Boys against Alresford Colne Rangers, newcomers Tendring Borough got their first win in Division Four.

Week three of the ESBFL saw a total of one hundred and eleven goals in the twenty-two matches!

Alresford Colne Rangers (three goals for Willoughby), head the Premier table with Barnston, who beat fourth place Cressing by a single goal, Kings Park Rangers sit third after an away win at East Thurrock, and there were three points each for Brightlingsea Town, Dedham Old Boys, Stanway Pegasus Reserves and Thorpe Athletic.

There were three matches in Division One, Gosfield United, who had no game, Great Bentley and Little Oakley Reserves head the table with victories and Bradfield Rovers hit six after conceding six the week before.

Division Two had six matches accounting for forty-two goals, Prettygate led the way with nine (three for Dickson), Boxford Rovers, Gas Recreation and Great Bentley Reserves also won, The Rodings and Great Bradfords shared four goals but what about Dedham Old Boys Reserves (three for Rush), and Alresford Colne Rangers Reserves, they shared fourteen goals!

Ramsey & Mistley (four goals for Cook) and Roman Rovers Reserves both won and Wormingford Wanderers Reserves shared the points with Silver End United in Division Three.

In Division Four, Harwich & Parkeston “A” sit top with Hedinghams United Reserves (seven different goalscorers) and Roman Rovers “A” also won.

On Bank Holiday Monday, Sudbury Sports travelled down to Corringham and gained three points when beating newcomers East Thurrock Community, who have yet to find their feet in the Premier Division.
