There were six matches in the Premier Division, East Thurrock remain top after beating third placed Great Bentley, by the only goal scored, however, second placed Springfield lost for the first time, this at home against Sudbury Sports. Hatfield Peverel scored four (three for Sargeant), against White Notley, Dedham Old Boys went one better against Alresford Colne Rangers, elsewhere there were welcome wins for Tiptree Heath against AFC Pegasus Colchester and lowly Belle Vue Social over Cressing United.

Top goal-scorers in Division One were Prettygate (three for Newcombe) hitting seven against Dovercourt Rovers, Clacton Regent scored five in their local derby against FC Clacton Reserves, Great Bentley Reserves hit four against Lawford Lads and Frinton & Walton won by three goals to one against bottom team, Hatfield Peverel Reserves. The other two matches were drawn, fourth placed Hedinghams United, were held by sixth placed Tavern whilst leaders The Rodings & Little Waltham dropped their first points of the season against Roman Rovers in fifth.

Division Two had six matches, Cavendish and White Notley Reserves shared eight goals, Cressing United Reserves and West Bergholt served up five goals against Wormingford Wanderers and Boxford Rovers, respectively. League leaders, Bradfield Rovers won again, this time against Gas Recreation Reserves, the other two matches ended at one goal apiece for third placed, Silver End United Reserves against third bottom Springfield Reserves and bottom team Great Bradfords took a point against second bottom, Alresford Colne Rangers Reserves.

Tiptree Jobserve, one of four unbeaten teams, remain top in Division Three, this following their seven goals to nil demolition of Roman Rovers Reserves and third placed Great Bentley “A” beat pointless Silver End United Reserves. Stillwaters beat Brooklands, Mersea Island beat Boxted Lodgers, and Oyster drew three goals apiece with Elmstead Market who are now fifth.

Division Four, always throws up big score-lines, Kelvedon Social, five (three for Greenyer), against West Bergholt Reserves, second placed, Frinton & Walton Reserves, four, beat Prettygate Reserves, Tollesbury, four, beat Hedinghams United Reserves, Wormingford Wanderers Reserves, four (three for Bacon), beat pointless Elmstead Market Reserves, league leaders, Roman Rovers “A”, two, beat Tendring District and, in another local derby, third placed, Ramsey & Mistley, two, beat Bradfield Rovers Reserves.

The only other team in action was Division Four, newcomers, Rayne, this was a cup tie against Ilford based, Old Parkonians” B” in the Amateur FA Intermediate Novets Cup, however, they lost!
