Last mid-week fifth placed, Thorpe Athletic beat Sudbury Sports (three for Barnard {L}) to move up to third place.

On Saturday, the Premier Division had seven league matches, the odd team, Sudbury Sports had an away Suffolk Senior Cup tie where they beat Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves by six goals to two. Those league matches saw home wins for Dedham Old Boys, Earls Colne, East Thurrock, Hatfield Peverel and Thorpe Athletic, and away wins for Springfield, this a single goal victory over Alresford Colne Rangers for whom it was a ninth straight defeat and Great Bentley (three for Brown {D}), over second bottom, Belle Vue Social. East Thurrock Community remain top with Springfield, Great Bentley and Thorpe Athletic, just one point behind, on goal difference.

Division One, top team, The Rodings & Little Waltham with a one hundred percent record, march on with a fifth successive win, this time over Dovercourt Rovers and Gosfield United occupy second spot after beating lowly FC Clacton Reserves. Behind them are four teams on ten points of those, Hedinghams United, Roman Rovers and Tavern won but Clacton Regent lost, the other match was a solitary goal win for Prettygate against Great Bentley Reserves.

Bradfield Rovers head Division Two, just a point ahead of unbeaten Silver End United and West Bergholt who lost, Cressing United Reserves also won but neither Boxford Rovers nor Alresford Colne Rangers Reserves could find the back of the net.

Tiptree Jobserve hit five (three for Gregory) against Oyster to stay top, ahead of Harwich & Parkeston “A” who could only draw against Great Bentley “A”, Boxted Lodgers won, as did Wivenhoe United and the fifth match was a draw between Roman Rovers Reserves and Brooklands.

There were six matches in Division Four, Roman Rovers “A,” with four wins from four outings, stay top, ahead of Frinton & Walton Reserves, there were also victories for Prettygate Reserves, Ramsey & Mistley, Stanway Rovers EVL Development and West Bergholt Reserves.

In the Reserve Knock-out Cup, holders Hatfield Peverel Reserves edged out Springfield Reserves by a single goal.

Finally, Division Two, Great Bradfords beat Division Three, Elmstead Market by two goals to one to progress in the Tommy Thompson Cup.
