On the last Saturday of 2025, East Thurrock Community progressed into the third round of the Knock-Out Cup when beating fellow Premier Division team, Sudbury Sports by three goals to one.

Last Saturday, the weather was the main winner with only ten matches beating the big freeze, meaning twenty-one matches were postponed, these will mean match rearrangements.

Wivenhoe United managed to re-arrange their Tommy Thompson cup fixture against White Notley Reserves and won by two goals to one.

The top team in Division Four is now Frinton & Walton Reserves who beat Tendring District by four goals to one, Roman Rovers “A” drop to second after losing by three goals to nil against Rayne, the other match saw Prettygate Reserves score five to the two in reply from Stanway Rovers EVL Development.

There were no matches played in either Divisions Three and Two and the three that were played in Division One saw seventeen goals.

Leaders, Gosfield United moved five points ahead of inactive, The Rodings & Little Waltham beating fifth placed Prettygate by three goals to one on the 3G pitch at Shrub End. The other two games were played at Plough Corner, Little Clacton, conditions were not ideal and the pitches grew harder as the cold set in. Clacton Regent, in fourth place beat Frinton & Walton by five goals to three in the local derby, the visitors having been ahead at half-time, and on the adjacent pitch mid-table Tavern beat Roman Rovers by three goals to two and leapfrog them in the process.

Three matches survived in the Premier Division, two were played on 3G pitches which saw, Sudbury Sports dispatch Gas Recreation by four goals to one and move to the top of the table having played a game more. Dedham Old Boys went one better when beating Tiptree Heath by five goals to two and in the third match, the top two at start of play, East Thurrock Community and Great Bentley, failed to score and shared the points.

At the half-way stage of the season, two teams, Alresford Colne Rangers in the Premier Division, and Great Bradfords, in Division Two have yet to chalk up a victory, whereas Great Bentley “A” in Division Three are the only unbeaten team across all divisions.

Leading Team goalscorers are Frinton & Walton FC Reserves with seventy (70) and the teams with the least goals conceded are; Great Bentley FC, (Premier); The Rodings & Little Waltham FC, (Division 1) and Tiptree Jobserve FC (Division 3), all with twelve (12).
