Lowly, Belle Vue Social were hit for seven by Dedham Old Boys (four for Vitelli), Thorpe Athletic beat leaders, East Thurrock Community by the odd goal in three, to move up to fifth, Sudbury Sports and Great Bentley needed only one goal to beat Tiptree Heath and White Notley respectively and remain in second and third positions. Hatfield Peverel retain fourth place after beating Springfield and in the other match Earls Colne drop to sixth after being held by AFC Pegasus Colchester.

There were five matches in Division One and a few surprises, Hedinghams United beat fifth placed Clacton Regent, Frinton & Walton beat third placed Prettygate, and Dovercourt Rovers beat Tavern by three goals to two, to move up to third. Roman Rovers beat FC Clacton Reserves to go sixth and second bottom Hatfield Peverel Reserves scored a single goal to beat Great Bentley Reserves, the team now, just above them.

The ESBFL joint top goalscorers are Bradfield Rovers (three for both Purl and substitute Stratton), who head Division Two after beating Wormingford Wanderers by nine goals to four, so are goalkeepers all doing the Xmas shopping this week! Second placed Silver End United beat Boxford Rovers on their travels into Suffolk, West Bergholt (three for Clarke), are keeping pace, four points behind with games in hand, this after beating struggling Alresford Colne Rangers Reserves by five goals to three. The final match was a three-all draw between mid-table Springfield Reserves and Cressing United Reserves.

Six matches took place in Division Three, the big match saw second placed Tiptree Jobserve narrowly beat leaders Harwich & Parkeston “A”, Great Bentley “A” remain unbeaten but stay third having drawn with Silver End United Reserves (three for Sharman), both teams scoring four goals. Two matches were played at “The Glebe” on Mersea Island, where the fourth placed home team beat bottom team Roman Rovers Reserves, but Oyster came unstuck against Stillwaters who scored five and conceded three. Second bottom Brooklands conceded seven against fifth placed, Elmstead Market (three for Kershaw), the final game saw Boxted Lodgers draw with Wivenhoe United.

Division Four leaders Roman Rovers “A” scored six against Stanway Rovers EVL Development, one of only two teams they have lost too this season, Frinton & Walton Reserves, also joint top goalscorers, stay third after beating Wormingford Wanderers Reserves by four goals to two. Hedinghams United Reserves also scored four as they beat Tendring District, to stay third, Tollesbury are fifth and Kelvedon Social, sixth after wins against Bradfield Rovers Reserves and Prettygate Reserves respectively. Finally, Rayne enjoyed their trip to St Osyth, winning by four goals to nil, against rock bottom, Elmstead Market Reserves.
