WEEKLY ROUND UP       @       13/09/2025.

This week, with the emphasis was on the Knock-Out Cup, there were just two matches in the Premier Division, Great Bentley moved up to third after beating Alresford Colne Rangers in the local derby and Earls Colne scored four without replay and moved up four places after beating new look Tiptree Heath.

Friday evening saw a first win of the season for FC Clacton Reserves over Hatfield Peverel Reserves the teams change places at bottom of Division One.

In Division Two, just two matches, West Bergholt hit six on the road against White Notley Reserves and go top whilst rock bottom Alresford Colne Rangers got their first point at home to Springfield Reserves who remain tenth in a division of twelve.

Three matches were played in Division Three, a first win of the season for Stillwaters, this over Roman Rovers Reserves, Great Bentley “A” made it a good day for the club with three victories as they edged out Mersea Island, but Harwich & Parkeston “A” hit five, (three for Smith) going second when beating Silver End United Reserves.

Three matches started in Division Four, two were abandoned because of the rain, thunder and lightning, the remaining game saw a first win for Prettygate Reserves, this against Bradfield Rovers Reserves.

And so, to the First Round of the Knock-Out Cup of seventeen, scheduled matches two were postponed due to teams being unable to field teams and two more matches were abandoned due to the inclement weather! Alphabetically there were wins for Belle Vue Social, Clacton Regent, East Thurrock Community, Cressing United (three for Merrell), Gas Recreation, Gosfield United, Hatfield Peverel, (three for Sargeant), Silver End United, Springfield, Sudbury Sports, Tavern, (four for Willis) Tollesbury and White Notley (three for Willett).

The Reserve Knock-Out Cup also commenced, just two matches were scheduled, Frinton & Walton Reserves scored five to beat Cressing United Reserves and Great Bentley Reserves scored six (three for Evans), against West Bergholt Reserves.
