Goals, goals, goals, not as many as last week though, with one exception the scores in the Premier Division suggested close games, leaders Kings Park Rangers scored after forty-two seconds and again after five minutes, Hatfield Peverel to their credit equalised before half time, continued to play well but conceded three quick second half goals, otherwise, the game was fairly even, throughout. Elsewhere there were draws in the matches between Stanway Pegasus Reserves and Cressing United and Thorpe Athletic against Alresford Colne Rangers but wins for Belle Vue Social, Sudbury Sports and a first victory for East Thurrock Community at home to Barnston.

Division One had seven matches, Dovercourt Rovers hit nine (three for McDonald), Bradfield Rovers, seven (four for Stratton), Great Bentley, five, and Hedinghams United, four all without reply, Gas Recreation, Gosfield United and Lawford Lads also won.

Seven matches were also played in Division Two, undefeated Prettygate scored seven without reply (three for Newcombe) and Earls Colne Reserves stay joint top with their fourth straight win. There were home wins for Gas Recreation Reserves, Great Bentley Reserves, Stillwaters, an away win for The Rodings, (three for Rosewell), whilst White Notley Reserves drew with Cressing United Reserves.

Unbeaten, Barnston Reserves, head Division Three after beating second placed Great Bentley “A”, Roman Rover Reserves (three for Walker) and Hatfield Peverel Reserves scored seven, five for Dingli, with Emmerson scoring three for defeated Tiptree Heath Reserves in that match, West Bergholt won their second game and both Elmstead Market and Oyster got their first points, against Tendring District and Ramsey & Mistley respectively.

In Division Four, seven matches were started, the match between Silver End United Reserves and Boxted Lodgers Reserves was abandoned, one for ECFA to resolve! Harwich & Parkeston “A” edged out Abbey Fields by the odd goal in seven to remain top, second placed Tendring Borough were restricted to just four goals this week, third placed Hedinghams United Reserves scored five as did Kelvedon Social whereas Bradfield Rovers Reserves (three for Hammond) and Mersea Island went one better with six.
